Beyond the House of Pain....

It's a simple Focus Phrase that we came up with a number of years ago and has been used in my coaching ever since - so much so, that I was thinking of retiring it!
But it has become part of me, and what is more part of my daily trotty botty when I'm motivating Athletes or working in the commercial sector - and when I even suggested, that I was thinking of coming up with another gem, those around were staggered at the thought - which in itself is quite humbling.
You see, it's been used by others in Dissertations, "A" Level course work and I've even turned it into a 40 minute keynote speech (20 mins for the abridged version) and what's more, as one of my good friends put it - "It's not globally known as a saying yet (I love the YET bit ;o) - which means there are loads of people in and out of sport who haven't heard it yet".
So after all - it does please me to say that yes the House of Pain will be with us for a while yet. You can all relax - even if you have heard it all before ;o)
